It's interesting to note that no separate mention is made of Major Hayes and his military contingent that were aboard the Enterprise when it entered the expanse. One would think that at least it would be mentioned separately at the speech that Archer gave in the welcome home ceremony. Either Archer is treating them improperly as if they were an integral part of the crew - which is not the way it seemed when they went into the expanse, or they are ignored (forgotten by the writers?).

T'Pol and Koss are not married in this episode. The ceremony is just beginning when the episode ends.

This is the first appearance of a female starship captain on "Star Trek" since the "Star Trek: Voyager" series finale "Endgame".

Joanna Cassidy, who plays T'Les, auditioned to play Captain Janeway on Star Trek: Voyager.

The remark about Captain Jefferies is actually a reference to the episode "First Flight", wherein it is first mentioned Jefferies is a major contributor to Starship design, and Trip is a member of his team. That original reference was an homage to Matt Jefferies, the Original Star Trek production designer. Access corridors on all the post-Enterprise Trek shows are accordingly referred to as Jefferies Tubes.
