The Insectoid console with the glass dome is a reuse of the Stellar Cartography set piece built for Star Trek: The Next Generation.

The Xindi-Insectoid shuttle would later be used in ENT: "Azati Prime".

The grounded Xindi-Insectoid ship, seen in a CGI view as the shuttlepod approaches it, looks very similar indeed to the crashed alien ship in Ridley Scott's "Alien". Subsequent scenes showing the space-suited crew moving through the ship are also very reminiscent of "Alien".

This was the last Enterprise episode to be filmed in 2003. Production ran from December 11 to December 19.
