This episode takes place in 2161, "Broken Bow" took place in April 2151.
   
"These are the Voyages" is the 703rd hour long episode of Star Trek.
   
The Enterprise NCC-1701-D was CGI generated. The ship was darker than the model version seen in The Next Generation.
   

The opening scene is a clip from "Ménage à Troi". You can see Picard, Reittan Grax and Nimbor in the lounge. Riker and Troi were digitally put into the clip, Riker replaces Troi's mother and Troi replaces the old image of Deanna Troi.
   
Riker and Troi look older than their characters from season 7 episode "The Pegasus". Troi's hair is wrong and Riker's hair is thin on top and has a bit of gray.
   
They walk along the wrong deck. Ten Forward is located on deck 10. The doors say 11. As they walk down the corridor you can see Terry Matalas assistant to Brannon Braga.
   
Deanna walks into the lift that is from the Enterprise-E. The turbolift is from Star Trek: Nemesis.
   
Enterprise NX-01 becomes part of a museum.

 

 
This was the first time Star Trek used "objective mode" in any holodeck scene.
   
This is Jeffery Combs' 10th appearance on Enterprise.
   
This makes the first appeance of the Enterprise-D since Star Trek Generations.
   
When Riker looks at the Pegaus's crew bio's you see the people behind Star Trek through out the years. You see Ronald B. Moore, Dawn Velazquez, Eric Matsumoto, Andy Simonson and Doug Mirabello. Mirabello played an Andorian officer in "Shadows of P'Jem".
   
The engineer kneeling behind Trip is NASA Astronaut Terry Viltz.
   
Enterprise visited Rigel in "Broken Bow" and revisits in "These are the Voyages". Rigel is mentioned on Deep Space Nine.
   
Shran has a daughter.
   
The uniforms have name tags on their right. This is the same place that the other series have their comm badges.
   
Trinneer gives a quick wink as he goes into the chamber.
   
Production crew and people who worked on Enterprise are in the crowd, at the signing of the Federation charter. They are Dave Rossi, Juan Carlos Ferandez,  Donna Rooney, Andre Bormanis, and Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens. You can also see Manny Coto
   
We never get to hear Archer's famous speech at the signing of the charter.
   
Fans have been outraged at how the show ended, this included the cast.
   
This episode was written by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga. Rick Berman regards this episode as a valentine to the fans.
   
During his last scene, Mayweather says that Archer "would never accept a desk job". He's dead wrong, because Archer becomes President of the Federation in 2184.
   
Rigel is the first planet and last planet visited in this series. The first was in "Broken Bow" and the last time is "These are the Voyages...".
   
A recent Enterprise novel, Last Full Measure (written by Andy Mangels and Michael A. Martin) revealed that Trip did not actually die in this episode. Exactly how Trip survived his apparent death, plus the reasons why Trip's death was faked and who ordered it, have not yet been explained.
   
This episode marks Jonathan Frakes's 4th Star Trek series appearance and 3rd in a Star Trek series other than Star Trek: The Next Generation.
   
Kirk's and Picard's voices came from the shows. Archer's was the only one recorded for the end. These voices are achieve footage from The Original Series and The Next Generation. Captain Archer's voice is the only recorded voice.
   
The Enterprise novel "The Good That Men Do", actually explains why Trip's death was faked and who ordered it.
