T'Pol reports that Hoshi is somewhere on the Reptilian ship's first three decks, however later a Reptilian reports
that they (Hoshi and Hayes' team) are on deck 7 as they return to their beam in point. It would seem unlikely that despite knowing roughly where
Hoshi was, Hayes would beam in several decks away only to have to travel a greater distance twice (to Hoshi and back) and increasing the risk of
being attacked. |

In this episode, we see some indication that the Insectoids are beginning to question the Guardians, and perhaps
believe the data Archer supplied: the final straw, for them, was the convenient
anomalies that protected the weapon. It's true that the ship
containing the suspicious Insectoids was destroyed -- but it lasted for a few seconds and could possibly have gotten a message out. |

It is interesting that the
Reptilian Xindi do not know what a hand grenade is. The
two Reptilian soldiers merely looked curiously at the
one Major Hayes rolled between their feet. Whether they
know specifically or not, their reaction is strange:
even if I didn't know what the gadget was, I'd seriously
doubt that anything an enemy tossed my way was intended
to prolong my life and health! So I'd at least duck
away, if I could... |

As to why they didn't
transport an explosive onto the weapon, maybe antimatter
is too dangerous not to transport over long distances or
something like that. |
