T'Pol reports that Hoshi is somewhere on the Reptilian ship's first three decks, however later a Reptilian reports that they (Hoshi and Hayes' team) are on deck 7 as they return to their beam in point. It would seem unlikely that despite knowing roughly where Hoshi was, Hayes would beam in several decks away only to have to travel a greater distance twice (to Hoshi and back) and increasing the risk of being attacked.
