If find if very odd that when Trip is healed by this alien "friend" his remarks is simply "That's a neat trick". Why wouldn't this cause for his adventurous gene to kick in, and record the incident. The humans could make great use of such "technology". Maybe he wasn't exactly thinking clear - held at gunpoint... but after all - they are explorers
   
Also, why is Zho'Kaan dehydrated if he doesn't sweat? And why can't they shelter from the heat in one of the shuttles? After all, if the shuttles are well enough shielded to protect them from solar radiation when they're in space, they should be able to cope with a couple of hundred degrees, especially if they can get the life support systems working.
   
Even if Trip is insistent on staying with his new best-bud, why can't Enterprise beam some basic comforts like water down to him? Or environmental suits? Or anything useful?
