	As stated in the text commentary for this episode, in the opening scene, when Trip opens the airlock doors to let the Kreetassans off the ship, he uses the com panel to open them, instead of the airlock control panel.
	Even if, as the Kreetassan claimed, "it wasn't hard" to learn English from studying Enterprise's database, they found the Enterprise crew so offensive that they stormed off the ship. It seems incredible that they would bother to learn how to speak the language of a species that offended them so.
	This episode marks the first use of a force field. It seems from this episode that such a concept was purely theoretical until Lt. Reed accomplished it.
