Maybe there were no female
captains in Kirk's time, even though there had been before and after, and Lister suspected (perhaps rightly)
that sexism at Starfleet was responsible (the same attitude might have been responsible for those silly miniskirt uniforms). What she was complaining about was a temporary problem, not permanent Starfleet policy. |
