The final battle involving the two ships ... one displaced in time ... featured one ship basically sacrificing itself so the other ship could reach a portal in space. This is visually very similar to the TNG episode "Yesterday's Enterprise".

The concept behind this episode is very similar to that of the season five Deep Space Nine episode "Children of Time".
