Scott Bakula and Michael McGrady also appeared together in the second episode of Quantum Leap entitled "Star Crossed".

The original script called for a scene in which the prison ship is seen breaking up on re-entry. The scene may have been filmed, but the final version did not feature this scene. This is because the Columbia disaster occured several days before this episode aired.
