The idea of aliens abducting humans from Earth in the past, transporting them to a distant planet for use as slaves, the humans rising up against the aliens, and a Starfleet ship encountering the humans centuries later was also the premise for the "Star Trek: Voyager" episode "The 37's".

Glenn Morshower has played numerous other Star Trek roles, including Lt. Burke in the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" episode "Peak Performance" and the ill-fated Enterprise-B navigator in the film "Star Trek: Generations".
