The first and only appearance of a Tribble in the series takes place during the opening sequence of this episode. We then see them in the movie "Star Trek III: The Search For Spock". In the episodes, the TOS episode "The Trouble With Tribbles", TAS episode more "More Tribbles, More Troubles", the DS9 episode "Trials and Tribble-ations".
