Hoshi's symptoms may be attributed to "transporter madness," discussed earlier in The Next Generation episode Realm Of Fear.
	When Archer leans past Hoshi to to press a button on the wall, you can see Hoshi's shadow on Archer. If Hoshi were really invisible, there would be no shadow on Archer.
