NAME:
Ensign Travis Mayweather
RACE:
HumanPOST: Helm Officer - Enterprise NX-01 Ensign Travis Mayweather is a 'space boomer' born and raised in space aboard the E.S.C Horizon, a J-Class freighter owned and captained by his father. He has extensive world to world experience and has encountered several alien species because of this upbringing. Having the ability to step into his father's shoes and take over the family business may be any young boy's dream but Travis yearned to discover new territories. His yearning landed him at Starfleet academy. Upon graduating he was presented the opportunity to become the primary helmsman aboard a brand new Warp 5 equipped starship destined for parts unknown. Mayweather is an expert helmsman with knowledge of piloting and space travel that rivals even Captain Archer. His ability to maneuver Enterprise and anticipate planet and space reaction to her massive size is unsurpassed. He is full of information regarding the planets he has encountered and the alien species that inhabit them. Quite often dispensing advice while piloting the shuttle on away missions. Mayweather has a firm belief that all beings are peace loving and only strike when struck against. He often boldly questions the tactics of his superior officers in their dealings with alien encounters. Captain Archer has a great respect for Travis and his experience. Archer will quite often seek Travis' opinion and bring him in on the senior staff's decision-making processes. Mayweather piloted the Enterprise NX-01 into the Delphic Expanse and throughout many anomalies and treacherous debris he remained steady, expertly maneuvering her. His talent for helming such a large ship brought the Enterprise and her crew safely through the Expanse, albeit a little worse for the wear. Travis Mayweather is a fun loving relentlessly optimistic soul who enjoys zero gravity and the feeling it creates. He spends his sleeping hours suspended in the air and his free time in the 'sweet spot' of the ship where zero gravity is always present. His enthusiasm affects all those around him bringing a bright spot to the bridge of the Enterprise that otherwise would not be there. His skills at the helm are indispensable.
